Kelly Kaeding

As a practitioner of Oriental Medicine, I help people with their health concerns and their well-being. I offer clients a range of resources for healing, which includes acupuncture, Thai bodywork and Chinese herbal medicine. I also give my clients information about how they can help themselves through dietary and lifestyle choices that suit their unique constitution.

I earned my Masters of Science degree in Acupuncture at Bastyr University located in Seattle, Washington. I then spent five years living and practicing in Vietnam. I traveled throughout Asia, studying acupuncture and Qi Gong in China and Thai bodywork in Thailand. During this time, I developed a deep understanding of the Chinese health paradigm and the intimate relationship it maintains with nutrition and lifestyle. I now have a thriving practice in downtown Burlington.

Acupuncture is a holistic system of health originated in China over 3,000 years ago. It is a safe and gentle approach that can be useful in the treatment of acute and chronic disorders. The body's Qi is stimulated by inserting fine needles into points along the energy channels. This releases constrictions and restores balance.

From skin diseases, allergies, and carpal tunnel syndrome to anxiety, depression, and stress, acupuncture can help the body heal naturally. Acupuncture and herbal medicine is useful in treating digestive conditions and can aid weight loss by strengthening areas of weakness so that the body will efficiently digest food and discard waste. Acupuncture is extremely helpful for women's health. It enhances fertility, treats menstrual disorders, and provides an excellent alternative to hormone replacement therapy to smooth the transition through menopause.

Thai Bodywork is a flowing and rhythmic whole-body treatment that combines acupressure, deep-tissue massage and yoga-like stretching. Tension melts away, leaving you feeling relaxed and invigorated.

Thai Bodywork is performed on a mat on the floor and the receiver is fully clothed. The practitioner works gracefully with her hands, elbows, knees and feet to open and align the energy of the body.

Thai Bodywork not only effectively treats muscular pain and increases flexibility but also helps alleviate a myriad of conditions such as headache, numbness, sciatica, soft tissue ailments, anxiety, and depression. The effect is a dynamic whole body experience.
