Touch is a powerful way of communicating. In my work it is a way to soothe and heal the spirit and the mind.

I studied Aromatherapy Massage and Reflexology at Newcastle College in England with the International institute of Health and Holistic Therapies, in 1996/97.

During the past few years my family has been traveling between England and America and I am pleased to say that we have made our home here in Vermont.  It certainly is a beautiful part of the world.

A certain amount of stress is a good thing; it keeps us alert and ready for action. Too much stress, however, can work against us. Stress can also affect the immune system, making us more susceptible to minor illnesses and infections. If high stress levels are maintained over long periods of time there are indications that this has a cumulative effect that may contribute towards a higher risk of more serious conditions.

Massage therapy has been shown to be highly beneficial. It can affect the autonomic nervous system, and calm the "fight or flight" response, reducing the level of harmful stress hormones in the body. Massage stimulates the blood circulation, increasing the supply of nutrients and oxygen to cells. Massage stimulates lymphatic flow, improving tissue drainage and improving the immune system. I love to use essential oils; many of the plants have been used through the generations in many countries for their healing properties and their ability to change the mood.  Think about religious ceremonies, marriage ceremonies, healing ceremonies.  Together with the magical effect of the essential oils Aromatherapy Massage is a fabulously relaxing treatment.

Reflexology deals with the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet and hands that correspond to all organs, systems and glands of the body, making the feet a "mirror image" of the body. A methodical application of pressure is used all over the areas of the client’s feet and ankles (or hands if appropriate). This brings about a state of deep relaxation and stimulates the body’s own healing process and helps a person return to a state of balance and well-being.

I am not trained to diagnose, and do not claim to cure medical conditions.  Having said this, Aromatherapy Massage and Reflexology naturally support your body, mind and emotions and they can have some astonishing results.

I have a treatment room in my home here in Essex Junction or you can contact me for the ultimate in home spa treatments.  Your very own aroma massage therapist visiting your home to treat you and your friends to an afternoon or evening of aromatherapy massage and reflexology.  (Please, ladies only).

I would like to thank Kathryn for inviting me to be a part of her network.  It certainly is an honor to have her recommendation and in return I would like to offer her clients and contacts a $10 discount on their first treatment.
